Introduction to digital seals and electronic document authentication for ASET registrants

Digital signatures and seals are widely used for the authentication of electronic documents. Professional engineers in all provinces and territories, and registered applied science/engineering technologists and technicians in three (3) provinces have adopted professional digital signature and seal technologies for electronic document authentication.

This 60-minute session will introduce ASET registrants to the legal requirements for electronic document authentication, the different types of signing technologies available and the applicable terminologies. The session will focus on ASET requirements for electronic document authentication and the use of ASET digital signatures, including a demonstration of the ASET digital signature and e-signing software tools. The webinar will end with a Q&A session.
