About the presenter

Please note: Due to a scheduling conflict, the speaker originally listed to present is no longer available. In his place will be Dr. David Chan, also from the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii).
 

David Chan

David is the product lead - industry at Amii. His team works with diverse clients to help them understand if and how their business challenges can be solved using AI and ML and to help them mature their level of AI adoption. Over the last decade, David has been working in data science and seeing the field evolve and mature in Alberta. Before joining Amii, he helped build and lead a data science team in the not-for-profit tech sector in Alberta and obtained his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Calgary. David is a volunteer & co-lead with Data for Good Calgary and active member of the Calgary data community.
