Transfer Across Canada

Transfer applicants must be members in good standing of the association in their province of origin before a transfer of membership will be accepted. Members in good standing are members who have remained current on organization dues and payments. Transfer applicants will be required to pay the current transfer fee, as well as take the ASET Professional Practice Exam (PPE). The ASET PPE is a condition of transfer; this policy is designed to ensure transfer applicants understand the legislation and regulations in Alberta, including their obligations under the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. After filling out the Interprovincial Transfer Form, please submit it to registration@aset.ab.ca for processing.

This policy is designed to ensure transfer applicants understand the legislation and regulations in Alberta, including their obligations under the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. All applicants must complete the ASET PPE within six months of submitting the transfer application form.

To transfer outside of Alberta, you will need to fill out the Interprovincial Transfer Form, and pay any associated fees. Any additional fees are dependent on the legislation in the province or territory to which you are transferring your ASET designation. For more information on the requirements, you will need to contact the provincial bodies.
