Alberta program is helping foreign-trained engineering professionals find work in their field

The statistics are grim for new Canadians trained in STEM professions. Only 39 per cent of immigrants with STEM bachelor degrees are employed in a STEM field. And only 48 per cent of immigrant engineering graduates are employed in a STEM occupation. That’s where ASET comes in. It’s a one of a kind, made in Alberta program that’s getting more foreign-trained engineering professionals working.
