Alberta program helps Ukrainian nationals work in their homeland career
Refugees that have knowledge about engineering technology are getting some major help from an Alberta group in that career field. The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET) has waived all application fees for those with refugee status. It also has a competency-based assessment program that helps foreign trained refugees and newcomers become certified and qualify for work in their field locally without having to return to school to earn Canadian credentials.
