A Ukrainian woman who moved to Alberta seven years ago received a first-of-its-kind award from the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

Rimbey students take part in STEM Camp Series day camp

On May 10, students from Rimbey Junior Senior High School took part in day two of ASET STEM Camp Series day camps at Red Deer Polytechnic. Ten of those students were from Rimbey and three were from Ecole Secondaire Lacombe Composite High School. Other students from Wolf Creek Public Schools also attended on May 3. Students were exposed to two disciplines of electrical engineering technology and mechanical engineering technology.

Students get hands-on experience with new STEM Camp Series at RDP

A new STEM Camp Series designed for junior high and high school students considering post-secondary career opportunities was brought to Red Deer for the first time. Presented by the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET), STEM Camp Series day camps took place at Red Deer Polytechnic on May 3 and 10. The ASET STEM Camp Series is geared to help address a nationally recognized STEM skills shortage.
