National Professional Practice Exam

National Professional Practice Exam

The National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) tests applicants for P.Tech. on their knowledge of the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act and related regulations of the practice of engineering or geoscience in accordance with section 5(1)(c) of the Professional Technologists Regulations.

The NPPE is a different exam than the ASET PPE and is administered by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). It is a higher-level exam suitable for P.Tech. applicants seeking a license to practice engineering or geoscience. Only P.Tech. applicants may apply to write the exam.

More information about the P.Tech. application can be found here.
