TAC announces new Executive Director
09, Dec, 2022
The Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Muktha Tumkur as their new Executive Director, as of Monday, 5 December 2022.
In her role, Muktha will work closely with the Board of Directors, TAC staff and key stakeholder groups to drive TAC forward in delivering the highest quality accreditation services to all Canadian colleges providing engineering technology and applied science programs. Muktha will focus on strategic planning to ensure growth in accredited programs and compliance with International Engineering Alliance’s (IEA) requirements to meet the Sydney and Dublin Accords.
Muktha comes to TAC with extensive experience in accreditations, standards development, strategy and business development. She worked for many years at numerous levels at CSA Standards where she gained valuable experience in volunteer management, standards development and stakeholder relationship building. Her most recent role has been as the executive director of the Canadian Council of Independent Laboratories. This experience, along with Muktha’s B. Eng. degree from Ryerson University and MBA from the University of Western Ontario, gives her a unique combination of skills that matches Muktha to the requirements of the executive director role at TAC. Muktha also holds a license with Professional Engineers Ontario.
The TAC board welcomes Muktha and looks forward to the coming years under her leadership.
